Enel: Colombian subsidiary obtains $300m loan
(CercleFinance.com) - Enel announces that its subsidiary Enel Colombia has obtained a loan in Colombian pesos equivalent to $300m from the European Investment Bank (EIB), in partnership with SACE (an Italian insurance and financial services company) to support the development of renewable energies and networks in Colombia.
Covered by a guarantee from SACE, the loan will finance the Guayepo I and II solar power plants, as well as the expansion of distribution networks.
The agreement, part of the European Commission's Global Gateway program, marks the first collaboration between the EIB, SACE and Enel for sustainable development projects.
