GM: partnership in credit cards with Barclays
(CercleFinance.com) - General Motors and Barclays announced on Monday that they have signed a long-term partnership agreement under which the banking institution will become the exclusive issuer of GM Mastercard cards in the US.
The leading US carmaker, which claims to have millions of members since the launch of its first credit card in 1992, says the agreement will take effect next summer.
In the US, GM cardholders, whether individuals or businesses, can earn points on their card and redeem their GM rewards for a qualifying new vehicle from the Chevrolet, Buick, GMC or Cadillac brands.
