TotalEnergies: long-term LNG sales contract in India
(CercleFinance.com) - TotalEnergies announces the signature of a contract with Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation Limited (GSPC) for the sale of 400,000 tons of LNG p.
a. over 10 years, from 2026.
Aimed at supporting India's energy transition and security of supply, the LNG will be supplied in the form of six cargoes a year, from TotalEnergies' global portfolio, and delivered to terminals on the country's west coast.
It will be used primarily to supply GSPC's industrial customers, as well as Indian households, commercial outlets and filling stations to supply compressed natural gas (CNG) to India's gas-powered vehicles, such as rickshaws.
