KKR: raises over $850m for real estate fund
(CercleFinance.com) - KKR has announced the final closing of the KKR Opportunistic Real Estate Credit Fund II (ROX II), a strategy dedicated to investments in senior loans and real estate securities in the US and Western Europe.
Commitments in the combined fund and separate accounts under KKR's Opportunistic Real Estate Credit strategy total over $850m.
ROX II is KKR's flagship private fund investing in the full range of KKR Real Estate Credit capabilities.
Loan originations will focus on first mortgages secured by high-quality properties owned by institutional sponsors and located in major markets in the US and Western Europe.
We believe that now is an ideal time to invest in real estate lending. The asset class offers attractive absolute and relative returns, underpinned by the ability to lend against high quality, well-located assets, KKR said.
