Bio-UV: towards 'stronger' sales in the second half of the year

(CercleFinance.com) - Bio-UV Group, a specialist in UV water treatment and disinfection systems, reported lower sales for the first half of the year on Tuesday, but promised "more sustained" activity for the second half.


The group - which also uses ozone and salt electrolysis technologies - generated sales of 22.1 million euros in the first six months of the year, compared with 24.1 million euros a year earlier.

"This is in line with our expectations", reacted Euroland analysts. The terrestrial division held up well, partially offsetting the decline in the marine division", they explain.

At the end of June, the company's order book stood at 9.5 million euros, compared with 8.9 million euros at the same time last year and 6.8 million euros at the end of May.

On the strength of this solid order book, Bio-UV says it anticipates stronger activity in the second half of 2024 compared with 2023.

The company also indicates that free cash flow in the 1st half of 2024 will be higher than in the 1st half of 2023, thanks to its recent debt reduction.

Bio-UV shares, listed on the Paris Bourse, rose by almost 5% in the wake of this publication.
