ABB: 80% reduction in CO2 emissions at Saltillo in 2 years

(CercleFinance.com) - ABB announces that its production site in Saltillo, Mexico, has reduced its emissions by 80% in two years, or more than 5,200 tons of CO₂e compared with 2022.


This reduction is based on intelligent building technologies, photovoltaic panels supplying 980 MWh per year and the purchase of renewable energy via I-REC certificates.

The site uses the ABB Ability Energy Manager system to optimize energy consumption in real time.

It has also installed Terra AC charging stations for electric vehicles, reinforcing its commitment to sustainable transportation solutions.
