ABB: acquires French Solutions Industry & Building

(CercleFinance.com) - ABB announces the acquisition of Solutions Industry & Building (SIB), a French manufacturer of construction products and premium cable glands for industrial, rail and hazardous environments.


This acquisition strengthens ABB's presence in the rail, mining and specialty markets in Europe, the Middle East and North America.

Founded in 1922 in Boulay-Moselle, SIB, owned since 2019 by Galiena Capital, employs nearly 100 people and generated $27m in revenues in 2023.

This acquisition expands ABB's portfolio of cable protection solutions, complementing brands such as PMA and Adaptaflex.
