Assa Abloy: acquisition in connected objects for seniors

(CercleFinance.com) - Assa Abloy announced on Tuesday that it had acquired 9Solutions, a Finnish company specialising in the design of AI-powered connected objects, mainly for the elderly.


Founded in 2009 and based in Oulu, central Finland, 9Solutions employs around forty people who will join the Swedish door-opening giant's senior solutions teams.

The acquisition of 9Solutions, whose communication equipment also enables the elderly to be located, and whose annual sales reached E10m last year, will be accretive from the outset.
