TotalEnergies: SAF production alliance

(CercleFinance.com) - On the occasion of Emmanuel Macron's visit to Saudi Arabia, TotalEnergies, Aramco, and SIRC (Saudi Investment Recycling Company) announced the signing of a joint development and cost-sharing agreement to evaluate the possibility of building a sustainable aviation fuels (SAF) plant in the Kingdom.


This project is based on the conversion of local residues, such as used oils, into sustainable fuels, supporting the decarbonization of the aviation sector.

Amin H. Nasser (Aramco) and Patrick Pouyanné (TotalEnergies) emphasized the importance of this collaboration in meeting environmental challenges and supporting the Saudi Vision 2030 and Saudi Green Initiative.
