Schneider Electric: a new UPS dedicated to AI
(CercleFinance.com) - Schneider Electric announced Wednesday the launch of a more compact UPS designed to power AI, data centers and large-scale electrical workloads.
The system, dubbed 'Galaxy VXL', boasts a footprint of just 1.2 m2, 52% smaller than the industry average, for a power density of up to 1042 kW/m2, sufficient to power the most energy-hungry infrastructures.
It also features enhanced cybersecurity, software and safety functions, says the French electrical equipment specialist.
To meet customer demand, Schneider says it has increased production and manufacturing capacity at many of its global plants, with annual production capacity set to exceed 9.000 Galaxy VXL inverters by 2025.
Due to strong demand for computing capacity and artificial intelligence (AI), Schneider has increased production and manufacturing capacity at its prefabricated data center plant in Barcelona.
Located in Sant Boi de Llobregat, Barcelona, the factory and logistics center, which is one of the main European sites dedicated to the design, production and integration of Schneider Electric's EcoStruxure modular data center range, will now include an additional 5,000 m2 of production space, with a surface area that will increase from 7,000 m2 to 12,000 m2.
