Siemens: ahead of DEGREE targets

(CercleFinance.com) - Siemens claims considerable progress on its sustainability goals, having achieved seven of its fourteen DEGREE targets ahead of schedule, 'for example in the areas of decarbonization, equity and employability'.


"For the first time, Siemens products and solutions sold in fiscal 2024 enabled customers to avoid more emissions than Siemens had generated across its entire value chain," it points out.

The German industrial group also claims to have reduced its carbon-equivalent emissions (of CO₂e) in own operations by 60% in 2024 compared with the reference year 2019, exceeding its target of 55%, which was planned for 2025.
