Nacon: planned manufacturing site in the North of France

(CercleFinance.com) - Nacon's share price rose on Friday, following the presentation of a project for a video game accessory manufacturing site in the Hauts-de-France region, intended to embody a "new industrial ambition" for the French company.


Located in Lauwin-Planque, in the Nord department of France, not far from its existing logistics site and headquarters in Lesquin, the 1,000 m2 building will represent an investment of five million euros

In a press release, Nacon explains that it intends to repatriate some of its activities to France in order to optimize its operations, supply chain and competitiveness.

This move to bring its production capacities closer to its target markets is intended in particular to respond to rising labor costs in Asia and risks in the supply of components.

Construction of the building will be completed in the second quarter of 2025, with a view to commencing operations at the end of the year with the pilot production of a game controller.

The project, called 'Nacon Industries' and financed by the French government as part of the 'France 2030' investment plan, plans to recruit up to 20 employees.

Following this announcement, Nacon's share price rose by almost 6% on Friday morning on the Paris stock exchange.
