BAE Systems signs $12 million contract with DARPA
(CercleFinance.com) - BAE Systems has signed a $12 million contract with DARPA (Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency) to develop high-temperature sensors as part of the HOTS program.
The HOTS (High Operational Temperature Sensors) program is a DARPA initiative to develop sensor technologies capable of operating at extreme temperatures (up to 800°C), beyond the limits of conventional sensors (225°C).
These sensors will be particularly useful for industrial control, jet engines and space exploration.
