Nexans: 'unannounced' visit by the regulator to an Italian plant
(CercleFinance.com) - Nexans announced on Thursday that the Italian Competition Authority had yesterday carried out an 'unannounced' visit to the site of its subsidiary La Triveneta Cavi in Brendola, in the north of the country.
The French group explained that this intervention was part of an investigation into an alleged anti-competitive agreement between cable manufacturers in the Italian low-voltage copper cable market.
Following this announcement, Nexans shares lost nearly 1% on Thursday morning on the Paris stock exchange, compared with a gain of around 0.1% for the SBF 120 index.
