SLB: has signed a contract with Petrobras in Brazil

(CercleFinance.com) - SLB has announced the award of a contract by Petrobras to its OneSubsea joint venture for two subsea RWI systems to increase recovery from the Búzios field in Brazil.


The subsea RWI systems will help increase production from floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessels.

Once operational, RWI systems will reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions per barrel of oil, as they provide a more efficient means of pressurizing the reservoir to increase recovery compared to the conventional alternative of surface injection systems.

' This contract will consolidate our strong local content presence in the country, thanks to Brazil's largest manufacturing plants and state-of-the-art subsea services facilities' said Mads Hjelmeland, CEO of SLB OneSubsea.
