Voltalia: construction of three new solar farms

(CercleFinance.com) - Voltalia announces the start of construction of three new solar farms in southern France that have a total capacity of 25.
1 megawatts, including a 10.7-megawatt farm located on a 15-hectare agricultural wasteland.

The choice of a specific technology of solar panel supporting structures with trackers and the implementation of an adapted irrigation system allow the return of agricultural activities, it says regarding the first project.

The other two projects, with capacities of 8.2 and 6.2 megawatts respectively, are fixed structures. The combined output of the three projects represents the electricity consumption of over 18,000 inhabitants, and will avoid the emission of 7,500 tonnes of CO2 per year.
