Ahold Delhaize: acquires Profi

(CercleFinance.com) - Ahold Delhaize announces that it has acquired the Romanian retailer Profi Rom Food (Profi) from MidEuropa for an enterprise value of approximately E1.

This acquisition doubles Ahold Delhaize's commercial presence in Romania, where it currently operates almost 1,000 stores under the Mega Image banner.

Ahold Delhaize said that the acquisition of Profi reinforces its commitment to provide Romanian customers with a wide and diversified range of high quality products and services.

It adds that Profi is a powerful brand with strong growth prospects, which offers a unique proposition to customers in Romania, with its extensive store network and local assortment.
