Nokia: sale of ASN to the French government finalized

(CercleFinance.com) - Nokia announces that it has sold Alcatel Submarine Networks (ASN) to the French state, represented by the Agence des participations de l'État, on 31 December 2024.


Nokia will retain a 20% stake, with representation on its Board of Directors, until the planned complete sale, at which time the French State is expected to acquire all remaining shares.

This sale enables Nokia to refocus its portfolio on its core markets, and to pursue its active management strategy, also illustrated by the planned acquisition of Infinera.

ASN, a leader in submarine networks, will continue to benefit from the support of the French government for its sustainable development and technological investments, Nokia says.
