Ford: US sales up 4.2% in 2024

(CercleFinance.com) - Ford has announced that it sold a total of 530,660 vehicles in the US in Q4 2024, up 8.
8% y-o-y.

In detail, sales of hybrid vehicles rose by 26.5%, to 47,082 vehicles, while sales of electric vehicles increased by 16.3%, to 30,176 units. Finally, sales of internal combustion engine cars rose by 6.8% to 453,402 units.

Finally, sales in the van/truck segment (Trucks) rose by 19.1% to 305,549 units, while sales in the 'SUV' segment were virtually stable (-0.2%) at 217,593 units, and those in the 'Cars' segment fell by 43.4% to 7,518 units.

For FY 2024, the automaker sold 2,078,832 vehicles (+4.2% on 2023), with sales up 38.3% for electrified vehicles (to 285,291 units), with +34.8% for 100% electrics and +40.1% for hybrids, while sales of combustion-powered vehicles remained stable (+0.2%, to 1,793,541 units).

Also for the full year, sales of SUVs rose by 1.2% and sales of 'Trucks' were up by 7.1%. By contrast, sales in the 'Cars' segment were down 9.5%.
