Thales: in-flight entertainment system for Delta

(CercleFinance.com) - Thales announced on Wednesday that it has entered into a partnership with the US airline Delta Airlines, for which the group has designed a next-generation in-flight entertainment system.


Hosted in the cloud, the 'Delta Sync' offering features 4K QLED HDR cinematic screens leaning against each seat in the aircraft, as well as Bluetooth connections enabling passengers to pair their devices wirelessly.

Based on Thales's FlytEdge technology, it is also equipped with an intelligent recommendation engine that adapts the content presented to passengers according to their preferences.

Thales and Delta say that they plan to make future enhancements to the system, with the addition of wellness programs and even meal and beverage personalization options.
