Assa Abloy: two acquisitions signed in the USA and UK

(CercleFinance.com) - Swedish locksmithing giant Assa Abloy announced on Wednesday that it has acquired American 3millID and UK-based Third Millennium, two companies it plans to integrate into its HID security and identification subsidiary.


Founded in 2015 and based in Highlands Ranch, Colorado, 3millID offers access control systems to a professional clientele.

Third Millennium, founded in 1996 and based in Wales, also markets access control technologies and software, which it distributes to both businesses and public authorities.

The two companies, which have been working together since 2015 as part of a commercial partnership, together employ around 40 people, with combined annual sales of some $21 million.

The acquisitions, which will be accretive from the outset, are expected to be finalized during the first quarter of 2025.
