Engie: supply contract signed with Italy's Erg
(CercleFinance.com) - Italian renewable energies specialist Erg announced on Monday that it has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with France's Engie, to which it will supply 44 GWh of wind power per year for a period of five years.
Paolo Merli, Erg's managing director, emphasized that this agreement strengthens the existing partnership with Engie, with which his group has already signed PPAs in France and the UK.
A 'PPA' is a long-term contract that directly connects an electricity consumer to the producer who operates renewable power plants to supply his customer.
Erg specifies that Engie's supply will come from its Italian wind farms.
