Eni: towards the issue of new hybrid bonds

(CercleFinance.com) - Eni announces its intention to issue two fixed-rate perpetual hybrid bonds in euros, reserved for institutional investors, as part of its 'Euro Medium Term Note' program.


These issues are intended to maintain a balanced financial structure and meet Eni's general needs.

The bonds will be redeemable at certain maturities, with review dates scheduled in 2031 and 2034.

In parallel, Eni is launching a voluntary buyback offer for an existing hybrid bond of 1.5 billion euros, subject to the issuance of the new bonds.

The maximum repurchase amount will correspond to the total nominal value of the new bonds.

The transaction confirms the importance of hybrid bonds in Eni's capital structure.
