BAE Systems: $212 million contract to modernize USS GreenBay
(CercleFinance.com) - BAE Systems announces that it has been awarded a $212 million contract by the U.
S. Navy to modernize the amphibious ship USS Green Bay (LPD 20).
The contract includes maintenance work, ballast repairs, amphibious deck preservation and living space renovation, carried out at its San Diego shipyard.
Work will start in February 2025.
According to Eric Icke, Vice President of BAE Systems San Diego Ship Repair, this modernization will enable the ship to continue fulfilling its naval missions for many years to come.
