KKR: invests in Gulf Data Hub

(CercleFinance.com) - KKR has announced that one of its funds will acquire a stake in Gulf Data Hub (GDH).


Founded in 2012 and based in Dubai, GDH operates seven state-of-the-art data centers in the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia, with projects underway in other Gulf countries.

The agreement, subject to regulatory approvals, will enable GDH and KKR to support over $5bn in investments to strengthen GDH's leadership position and accelerate its international expansion.

According to Tarek Al Ashram, CEO of GDH, this strategic partnership with KKR will support GDH's regional and international ambitions, while KKR highlights the potential of the Middle East as a digital hub for Asia and Africa.
