Vicat: Barclays upgrades its recommendation to 'overweight'.

(CercleFinance.com) - On Thursday, Barclays raised its recommendation on Vicat shares from 'weighted in line' to 'overweight', with a target price raised from €41 to €47.

In a study of the building materials sector, the intermediary said it found the stock interesting in view of its valuation differential with its competitors.

In its note, Barclays considers that the valuation differential between Vicat and its comparables - illustrated by an underperformance of 25 percentage points last year - is not justified.

While acknowledging that the company's cash flow (FCF) has struggled to take off since 2021, following the Covid crisis, the research firm believes that the situation could soon improve as recent investments in Senegal should bear fruit.
