Verizon: EPS up slightly in Q4
(CercleFinance.com) - Verizon reports adjusted EPS (excluding special items) of $1.
10 for the final three months of 2024, compared with $1.08 in the fourth quarter of 2023, with adjusted EBITDA up from $11.7 billion to $11.9 billion year-on-year.
"This result is attributable to growth in mobile service revenues, partly offset by the impact of higher modernization volumes and the continued decline in business fixed service revenues," explains the telecoms operator.
Total operating revenues rose by 1.6% to $35.7 billion, including mobile service revenues up 3.1% to $20 billion. It also claims nearly one million post-paid mobile and broadband subscribers.
For 2025, Verizon expects growth of 0 to 3% for adjusted EPS, 2 to 3.5% for adjusted EBITDA and 2 to 2.8% for mobile service revenues, as well as free cash flow of between $17.5 and $18.5 billion.
