Electrolux: significantly reduces losses in 2024

(CercleFinance.com) - Electrolux reports a net profit of 150m SEK for Q4 2024, much better than the loss of 4.
11bn SEK recorded a year earlier.

At nearly 38bn SEK, the appliance manufacturer's quarterly sales rose by 7%, while quarterly EBIT improved from a loss of 3.21bn SEK to a profit of +1bn SEK.

Quarterly EPS came to 0.56 SEK, compared with -15.2 SEK a year earlier.

Electrolux posted FY sales that areup 1% to 136bn SEK, with the group managing to significantly reduce its losses from 5.22bn SEK in 2023 to 1.39bn SEK in 2024. Annual EPS is thus improved from -19.36SEK to -5.16SEK.

As we approach 2025, uncertainty remains over the potential impact of new trade policies in North America on demand for household appliances. In Europe, demand is beginning to stabilize, but a time lag is to be expected before lower interest rates and a possible improvement in disposable income support a recovery in discretionary purchases, commented Yannick Fierling, Managing Director.

Against this background, we anticipate relatively neutral market demand for basic household appliances in all regions in 2025 compared with 2024, he added.
