Gimv: investment initiated in RoboJob

(CercleFinance.com) - On Monday, Gimv announced that it had acquired a stake in RoboJob, a Belgian manufacturer of industrial robotic systems for milling and turning (CNC) operations.

In a press release, the investment company said it wanted to support RoboJob's international growth ambitions, as well as the development of a product offering deemed 'promising'.

Founded in 2007 by Helmut De Roovere with the help of Aluro Group and Luc De Ceuster, RoboJob now employs around 70 people and boasts an installed base of over 2,000 CNC robots in some 30 countries.

Last year, the company moved to new premises in Heist-op-den-Berg, near Antwerp, to give itself the means to expand.

Gimv, which will join the capital alongside the De Roovere family, did not specify the precise terms of the operation.
