Rolls-Royce: EU approves joint acquisition of Rolls-Royce SM
(CercleFinance.com) - The European Commission announces that it has approved the acquisition of joint control of Rolls-Royce SMR Limited ('Rolls-Royce SMR') by Rolls-Royce and CEZ Holdings of the Netherlands.
This transaction mainly concerns the research, development and deployment of compact modular nuclear reactor designs. The Commission concluded that the notified transaction would not raise competition concerns due to its limited impact on the European Economic Area, and given the limited market positions of the companies resulting from the proposed transaction.
