(CercleFinance.com) - Bombardier announced on Tuesday the construction of a new paint shop within its service center at London-Biggin Hill airport, with the aim of strengthening its support capabilities in Europe.
The new facility, to cover an area of around 4,800 m2, is to offer Bombardier customers a 'first-class' option for their painting needs on Global, Challenger and Learjet business jets.
The workshop, which will employ more than 50 skilled technicians in two areas, is scheduled to open in the second half of 2026
Inaugurated in 2017 and expanded in 2022, the Canadian aerospace group's service center boasts a total surface area of almost 23,250 m2, not far from neighboring Farnborough airport.
It is to be equipped with more than 3,000 solar panels on its roof.
