TotalEnergies: individual shareholders up 15% in 2024
(CercleFinance.com) - TotalEnergies has announced a sharp 15% increase in the number of French individual shareholders between 2023 and 2024: as of 31 December, there were almost 650,000, compared with 567,000 the previous year, up 83,000 in one year.
This is both very tangible proof of the French people's attachment to the TotalEnergies share, and a mark of their confidence in our strategy, TotalEnergies said.
The energy group also points out that 80% of its employees in France are also shareholders. Thus, 12.2% of the capital is held by French individual shareholders (including employees), who received around E840m in dividends in 2023.
