Enel: acquisition of 'green' holdings in Australia
(CercleFinance.com) - Enel announces that Potentia Energy, in which Enel Green Power holds a 50% stake, has signed an agreement with CVC DIF and Cbus Super to acquire majority stakes in a portfolio of over 1 GW of renewable assets in Australia.
This portfolio includes over 700 MW of wind and solar power, as well as 430 MW of projects in advanced development, including battery storage systems.
This acquisition is in line with Enel's strategy of targeting stable markets, and follows the purchase of 626 MW of hydroelectric power in Spain. The transaction remains subject to Australian FIRB approval.
