Accenture: acquisition of German company Staufen
(CercleFinance.com) - Accenture announced on Friday that it had acquired Staufen, a management consulting firm specializing in the manufacturing and logistics sectors, without disclosing the financial terms of the deal.
The American technology group explains that this acquisition will enable it to strengthen its capabilities in the automotive, aerospace, defense, industrial equipment and medical device sectors.
In a press release, Accenture points out that it already has solid expertise in digital applications for industry, whether in generative AI or digital twins.
This acquisition comes at a time when many manufacturers are facing tensions within their supply chains, not to mention geopolitical concerns and trade uncertainties.
Staufen employs over 200 people across its sites based in Germany, Italy, Switzerland, the USA, Mexico and Brazil.
