Pfizer: strategic collaboration with Alloy extended

(CercleFinance.com) - Alloy Therapeutics announced Tuesday that it has deepened its strategic collaboration with Pfizer, for which the US company will develop a platform for discovering new types of antibodies.


Under the terms of the agreement, the Boston-based biotech company will receive an upfront payment from the pharmaceutical giant, as well as milestone payments based on the achievement of commercial objectives.

In a press release, Alloy points out that Pfizer has been using its ATX-GxTM platform, a humanized transgenic mouse model, for several years, along with more than 170 other customers.

Pfizer announced last night that a Phase 3 clinical trial conducted with Japan's Astellas Pharma had demonstrated the long-term efficacy of Padcev in combination with Keytruda in the treatment of advanced or metastatic bladder cancer.

These data showed that the combination of the two compounds improved participants' overall survival and progression-free survival after 12 months of follow-up.
