Metropole TV (M6) : annual net income reduced by a quarter
(CercleFinance.com) - Groupe M6 reports consolidated sales of 1311.
2 ME for fiscal year 2024, down 0.3% on the previous year.
Advertising revenues were down 0.5%, with a 0.8% increase in video advertising revenues (to 912 ME) but a 7.9% decline in other advertising revenues (149 ME).
The Group reports consolidated EBITA of 242.1 ME (-19.5%), giving EBIT of 232.5 ME (-23.9%) and net income, Group share of 172.8 ME (-26.2%), or 1.37 euro/share.
With audience share reaching 12.8% in 2024 (-0.2 points vs. 2023), Groupe M6's free-to-air channels (M6, W9, 6ter and Gulli) are stable with the general public.
At December 31, 2024, the Group's shareholders' equity stood at 1321.1 ME, compared with 1305.1 ME at December 31, 2023, reflecting the lower net income for the year and the higher dividend paid in 2024.
While continuing to strengthen linear TV, the Group will continue to implement its streaming plan in 2025, with the ambition of achieving 'streaming sales in excess of 200ME in 2028 and exceeding one billion hours viewed on the platform over the same period'.
