Metropole TV (M6): annual net income down a quarter
(CercleFinance.com) - Groupe M6 reports consolidated sales of E1,311.
2m for 2024, down 0.3% on the previous year.
Advertising revenues fell 0.5%, with video advertising revenues up by 0.8% (to E912m) but other advertising revenues down by 7.9% (to E149m).
The Group published consolidated EBITA of E242.1m (down 19.5%), giving EBIT of E232.5m (down 23.9%) and net profit (group share) of E172.8m (down 26.2%), equivalent to E1.37 per share.
With an audience share of 12.8% in 2024 (down 0.2 point from 2023), the M6 Group's free-to-air channels (M6, W9, 6ter and Gulli) are stable with the general public.
At 31 December 2024, the Group's shareholders' equity stood at E1,321.1m, compared with E1,305.1m at 31 December 2023, reflecting the lower net profit for the year and the higher dividend paid in 2024.
While continuing to strengthen its linear TV business, the Group will continue to implement its streaming plan for 2025, with the aim of achieving streaming sales in excess of E200m by 2028 and exceeding one billion hours viewed on the platform over the same period.
