Alstom: reactivates a fleet of 30 trains in the UK
(CercleFinance.com) - Alstom announces the signature of a £24.
5 million contract amendment with British railway company Govia Thameslink Railway (GTR) to reactivate a fleet of 30 Class 379 trains.
These Electrostar trains, acquired by Porterbrook in March 2024, will be used on the Great Northern network linking London King's Cross with Cambridge, Peterborough and King's Lynn.
As part of the agreement, Alstom will provide technical support to ensure rapid commissioning.
The project integrates the HealthHub platform for real-time monitoring. The first trains entered service on February 10.
