Thales: communications contract with Royal Navy

(CercleFinance.com) - Thales announced on Wednesday that it has been selected by the Royal Navy to maintain the communications systems on its ships and submarines.


The defense electronics company said that this "major contract" won by its British subsidiary covers the modernisation of internal and external communications for the Navy's fleet.

The agreement also covers the provision of 24/7 support services for the next ten years.

Thales says that this is one of the largest investments in naval communications in Europe.
