Deutsche Börse: EU authorizes acquisition with Lindner

(CercleFinance.com) - The European Commission has cleared under the EU Merger Regulation the acquisition of joint control of Digital Vault Services by Deutsche Börse AG and Lindner Beteiligungs, both of Germany.


The transaction mainly concerns the financial sector, in particular the digital issuance and safekeeping of guarantees and bonds.

The Commission concluded that the notified operation would not give rise to competition concerns, given that the joint venture's activities in the European Economic Area are negligible and that the companies are not present on the same or vertically related markets.

The notified transaction was examined under the simplified merger review procedure.
