Rolls-Royce: offers a new version of the mtu Series 1600

(CercleFinance.com) - Rolls-Royce announces that its enhanced mtu Series 1600 engine, offering up to 40% more power, is now available in a 50 Hz version, following the launch of the 60 Hz version in 2023.


The 12V1600 Gx1 model achieves nearly 1000 kWm, making it the highest power density motor in its class, the engine manufacturer points out.

With electrical power ranging from 590 to 996 kVA, these generator sets are suitable for data centers, healthcare facilities, commercial buildings and hybrid installations.

Orders have already been placed in the USA and Europe for various uses, and the motors will also be available for integration by independent OEMs.
