BAT: notes the ban on puffs in France
(CercleFinance.com) - BAT France takes note of the ban on single-use vaporizers known as 'puffs' and says it had anticipated this decision.
The company also calls for global regulation of nicotine products.
BAT France shares the government's ambition to achieve a first tobacco-free generation by 2032. However, for this ban to have a real impact, it is essential that it be accompanied by effective control measures. In this respect, comprehensive and coherent regulation of all nicotine products is essential to avoid counter-productive effects, notably the growth of the illicit market', says the company.
BAT advocates in particular the differentiation of nicotine sachets, without tobacco or combustion, and encourages dialogue with the authorities to ensure responsible alternatives for adult smokers.
