AstraZeneca: cancer specialist proposed for Board membership

(CercleFinance.com) - AstraZeneca announced on Tuesday that it would propose the appointment of Karen Knudsen, a specialist in cancer treatment, to its Board of Directors at its next AGM, scheduled for April.


Should her appointment be approved by shareholders, Karen Knudsen would also join the biopharmaceutical group's Scientific and Sustainability Committee.

A recognized researcher in the field of oncology, Karen Knudsen recently served as Executive Director of the American Cancer Society (ACS).

This announcement comes as Deborah DiSanzo and Andreas Rummelt have informed the company that they have decided not to renew their directorship beyond the AGM on April 11.
