Engie: sells assets in Kuwait and Bahrain
(CercleFinance.com) - As part of its environmental commitments, Engie announces that it is leaving Kuwait and Bahrain by selling its electricity and water desalination assets in these two Persian Gulf countries to ACWA Power.
The agreement covers its interests in Az Zour North, a combined gas and desalination plant in Kuwait, in three gas-fired power and desalination plants in Bahrain, and in associated operation and maintenance companies.
Completion of the transaction remains subject to regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions. Engie and ACWA Power are working closely to ensure a smooth transfer of ownership of these assets.
