Stellantis: automated driving technology unveiled
(CercleFinance.com) - Stellantis unveiled on Thursday an automated driving technology that the automotive group describes as 'ready for deployment' across all its markets and brands.
The automaker explains that the 'STLA AutoDrive 1.0' system, developed in-house, enables autonomous driving without driver supervision (SAE level 3) at speeds of up to 60 km/h, even at night and in poor weather conditions.
For higher speeds, STLA AutoDrive offers Level 2 automated functions, including adaptive cruise control and lane centering.
On freeways, an advanced Level 2+ function allows the driver to let go of the steering wheel.
Stellantis emphasizes that 'STLA AutoDrive' has been designed to evolve, with the possibility of driving at higher speeds, up to 95 km/h, as well as off-road capabilities.
