Air Liquide: EPS growth of 7% in 2024

(CercleFinance.com) - Air Liquide reports earnings per share (EPS) of 5.
74 euros for 2024, up 7.3% as reported, with a Group operating margin of 19.9%, up 110 basis points excluding the record energy effect.

The industrial gas supplier's sales fell by 2% to less than 27.1 billion euros, but posted comparable growth of 2.6% (including a +1.9% contribution from Argentina), with all Gas & Services businesses reporting growth.

At the AGM on May 6, a dividend of 3.30 euros per share will be proposed for 2024, representing strong growth of 13.7%. Ex-dividend date is May 19, and the dividend will be paid from May 21.

Ahead of its target of 320 basis points over four years (2022-2025), Air Liquide is again raising its ambition for margin improvement excluding the energy effect, over an extended period of one year, to +460 basis points over 2022-2026.
