Tarkett: annual loss due to asset write-downs

(CercleFinance.com) - Tarkett has reported a net loss (group share) of -E62.
6m for 2024, due to E111m in asset impairments (non-cash charges), mainly in the CIS and in the wood segment in EMEA.

Excluding the impact of these impairments, net income would have been E49m, up on 2023 (E20.5m). Its adjusted EBITDA rose by 14.4% to E329.3m, representing a 1.3-point margin improvement to 9.9%.

The specialist in floor coverings and sports surfaces posted net sales down slightly by 0.9% to E3.33bn (-0.4% at constant exchange rates and consolidation scope), with applied sales prices down 0.3%.

As in 2024, Tarkett aims to pursue its development in a difficult macroeconomic environment, and is targeting adjusted EBITDA of around E360m for 2025, including the effect of acquisitions made in the sports sector.
