Tikehau: negotiations for sale of LMB Aerospace

(CercleFinance.com) - On Friday Tikehau Capital announced that it had entered into exclusive negotiations with a view to selling LMB Aerospace, one of the companies in its investment portfolio, to the US Loar Group.


The alternative asset management company says that these discussions also include Amundi, as well as investors from the Crédit Agricole Group and Arkéa Capital, including Idia Capital, who also hold stakes in this manufacturer of high-performance electric fans and cooling solutions for the aerospace and defense industries.

Tikehau says that it had invested in LMB Aerospace in 2022, via its flagship private equity strategy dedicated to aerospace and defense.

With average annual growth of almost 15% since 2021, LMB now has sales of around E40m, 30% of which are generated in the US.

Thomas Bernard, CEO, has been based across the Atlantic since 2016 to boost the company's development on the North American market.

According to Tikehau, Loar Group - which manufactures niche components for more than 250 aeronautical platforms - is 'ideally positioned' to support the next phase of its expansion.

If the transaction were to close, it would be the third sale made by Tikehau as part of its flagship private equity strategy dedicated to aerospace and defense.
