SLB: US approves ChampionX acquisition
(CercleFinance.com) - SLB announces that it is legally entitled in the US to complete the acquisition of ChampionX, all applicable waiting periods under the US Hart-Scott-Rodino (HSR) Antitrust Improvements Act of 1976 having expired.
An agreement provides for the sale of all ChampionX interests in US Synthetic Corporation to a third party. SLB will retain its MegaDiamond business to supply compact polycrystalline diamond cutters for drills and other industrial uses. The ChampionX transaction remains subject to antitrust scrutiny in other jurisdictions, including Norway. As a result, SLB now expects the transaction to close by the end of Q1 or early Q2 2025.
