Nokia: EU approves acquisition of Infinera
(CercleFinance.com) - The European Commission has unconditionally approved Nokia's acquisition of Infinera, finding that the transaction would not raise competition concerns in the European Economic Area (EEA).
The investigation showed that the combined market shares of Nokia and Infinera remain moderate, and that several credible competitors will continue to maintain sufficient competitive pressure after the transaction.
The Commission has therefore concluded that the proposed acquisition would not raise competition concerns in the EEA, and has approved the transaction unconditionally.
